A Poetry Slam is a performance poetry competition. Participants share prepared poems before a crowd and three judges. The performance is rated from 0 to 10. The top performers are then called back to perform a second poem.
General Rules:
There is a three-minute time limit for each poem. Props may be used. Performances may be done by groups or individuals. Poems may be memorized but do not have to be.

Adult--each adult must perform poetry he has written. Student--Own Poetry Student--Others' Poetry
There is no cost to participate. Pre-registration is required. Winners in each category will receive store gift certificates.
