Poetry Slam

A Poetry Slam is a performance poetry competition.  Participants share prepared poems before a crowd and three judges. The performance is rated from 0 to 10.  The top performers are then called back to perform a second poem.

General Rules:

  1. There is a three-minute time limit for each poem.
  2. Props may be used.
  3. Performances may be done by groups or individuals.
  4. Poems may be memorized but do not have to be.


Categories:
  1. Adult--each adult must perform poetry he has written.
  2. Student--Own Poetry
  3. Student--Others' Poetry

There is no cost to participate. Pre-registration is required.
Winners in each category will receive store gift certificates.
